Programming

Programming That Evolves With the Group

Society Group's class programming runs on 8-week cycles, written by our head coaching staff and reviewed against member progress data every cycle. This means what you do in week one is intentionally different from what you'll do in week seven — loading, movement patterns, energy systems, and recovery emphasis all shift on a schedule. We run six distinct class formats across the week: Strength & Conditioning, Barbell Club, Cardio Engine, Mobility & Recovery, HIIT Circuit, and Saturday Community WOD. Each format has a defined goal, not just a vibe. Coaches brief every session with a three-minute whiteboard explanation before the warm-up begins, so you always know why you're doing what you're doing. Specialty classes — Olympic lifting technique, competition prep — run monthly and require advance booking.

Six formats

Class Formats at Society Group

Six formats. One community. Something worth getting up for every day of the week.

Strength & Conditioning

The flagship format. Three days per week at 6 AM, noon, and 6 PM. Combines compound barbell work with metabolic conditioning — squats, deadlifts, presses paired with rowing or assault bike intervals. Programming runs on a 3-1 wave: three weeks of progressive overload, one week of deload.

Barbell Club

Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7 PM. Focused entirely on squat, bench, and deadlift technique and load. Coached by our resident powerlifting specialist. Suited for members chasing PRs, those preparing for local competitions, or anyone who wants dedicated bar time with technical coaching present.

Cardio Engine

Monday and Wednesday mornings at 5:30 AM. Rower, Assault bike, ski erg, and run intervals structured for aerobic base development. Sessions are 45 minutes, low-skill entry point, high reward. Ideal for members whose strength work is solid but whose conditioning lags behind.

Mobility & Recovery

Friday afternoons at 4:30 PM and Sunday mornings at 9 AM. Coach-led stretching, fascial release work, and breathwork structured as an active recovery session. Not a passive yoga class — movements are deliberate, coach-cued, and tied directly to the week's training patterns to prevent overuse injuries.

HIIT Circuit

Wednesday and Friday at 6 PM. Station-based, 45-second work intervals with rotating equipment: dumbbells, kettlebells, battle ropes, plyo boxes. Every circuit is different. High intensity, scalable to all fitness levels — coaches modify on the spot for anyone dealing with limitations.

Saturday Community WOD

The heartbeat of the week. Saturday at 9 AM, the entire Society Group community — across all membership tiers — trains the same workout together. Partner-based, typically 60 minutes, and always followed by informal hang time. This is the session members mention most when they talk about why they stay.

“I've done Saturday Community WOD every week for 14 months straight. It started as convenience — I was free on Saturday mornings. Now it's a non-negotiable part of my week. The combination of working with a different partner each week and the charcoal-and-gold atmosphere of the floor makes the whole thing feel like a ritual, not a workout.”

Booking

How to Get Into Any Class

Standard classes — Strength & Conditioning, Cardio Engine, HIIT Circuit — are available as drop-in for Community and Coached members with no advance booking required. Essential members can drop into four standard classes per month, with additional drop-ins purchasable at $12 each. Specialty sessions (Barbell Club, monthly Olympic lifting, competition prep cycles) require advance booking through the Society Group app and are open to any membership tier on a first-come basis. Class size is capped at 18 participants to maintain coaching quality — coaches can see and correct every person in the room. If a class fills, the app waitlist notifies you automatically if a spot opens.
